SAME OLD FEARS VERSE I You say you want to get away You need a change of scene Maybe move to the island Where it's tropical and green So you maxed out all your credit cards To find some piece of mind But guess who will be waiting When you finally arrive CHORUS You and all your problems You thought you'd left behind The same old fears have been trailing you all these years VERSE II Wrapped up in a particular notion Of who you're supposed to be Feeling life's frustrations Always fail so easily And where is it you're going to? And what cost it will be worth? Ya know everyday is another day So treat it just like the first CHORUS You are not the same as You were yesterday But the same old fears have been trailing you all these years *** VERSE III All the forces that surround us Will swallow us in the end We all live in the same world No matter how much we pretend Freedom can only be achieved In moments of vulnerability So let it go let it flow Let it go let it flow And realize there's no room inside To leave all of these fears inside So let it go let it flow Let it go let it flow CHORUS You and all your problems You thought you'd left behind The same old fears have been trailing you all these years You and all your problems You thought you'd left behind The same old fears have been trailing you all these years You and all your problems You thought you'd left behind The same old fears have been trailing you all these years You and all your problems You thought you'd left behind The same old fears have been trailing you all these years

John McGee 06:46
JOHN MCGEE My name is John McGee, and I live on the south side of town. Across the wrong side of the tracks, is were you'll find me hanging around. It's a very long story, longer than most. Listen up and I'll try and be a good host. Don't believe what they say about stories. Stickin' to it, I don't know how they do it. Old ladies they give advice, little tidbits, they don't think twice. Goin' down to the store for coffee and smokes, check out the corner, who's got the jokes? Non-Euclidean geometry, used to mean so much to me. Fantastic photography, a world of mystery. The cycles may be caused, by what I don't know. Producing the shadows. Such experience may show, by what I don't know. By what I know. By what I know. By what I know. By what I know. Newton and his friends, could hardly comprehend, The best of what their reason, could not ignore. Beady little eyes, make a good disguise. Tracing lines back to the beginning. Cigarettes burning, down to the knuckles. For now the story's over, can't let the Village lay it's claim on me. I sought security in country living, the way to be. Inventions, calculation, guides my way through this investigation. It's a new sensation, my crusade against mathematic equations. I can see through all these fools, slack jaw trolls and needless rules. My cities are full of space and air, these fellas, they just don't care. I depart from life unnoticed, I just want to keep focused. I don't know why I'm trying to save, this living race dead in there graves. The cycles may be caused, by what I don't know. Producing the shadows. Such experience may show, by what I don't know. By what I know. By what I know. By what I know. By what I know.

THE VILLAGE There's a place, I'd like you to know, 'Round the corner, here we go. Village from another place in time, People who live there, they like it just fine. Past the hill, and by the brook, Everybody take a look. Once there what little time you spend, Will keep you coming back again and again. Some come to visit but decide to stay, The story is they like the easier pace. A slowing down most aren't accustomed too, Where it's easier to be just like yourself. A crazy guy, you know he can see, Into the future through you and me. He's got questions, he's asking them twice, He wants to know who's been naughty or nice. A genius/madman ahead of his time, The renaissance, boy it passed you by. Into his crystal ball he did gaze, What he saw spinned him out of phase. TV screens and laser beams, Aimed down on his poor head. Super freaks and computer geeks, Drove this boy to his wits end... They know him. He tells them. You feel me. You feel pain. A crazy guy, named John McGee, Into the future he can see. Don't ask no questions, don't tell no lies, The stories completed in my eyes. That's my story, I'm sticking to it, There's nothing to it but to do it. That's my story, I'm sticking to it, There's nothing to it but to do it. That's my story, I'm sticking to it, There's nothing to it but to do it. *** Come on down to the village. They treat you right down there. In Village they take it slow, They know that's the way to go. They know that's the way to be, Country living philosophy. That's my story, I'm sticking to it, There's nothing to it but to do it. That's my story, I'm sticking to it, There's nothing to it but to do it. That's my story, (a crazy guy) I'm sticking to it, (named John McGee) There's nothing to it but to do it. That's my story, (into the future) I'm sticking to it, (he can see) There's nothing to it but to do it. That's my story, (don't ask no questions) I'm sticking to it, (don't tell no lies) There's nothing to it but to do it.

Superman 05:49
SUPERMAN They all try and tell me how I oughta live. My ways are my own and I won't forgive. Since I was a boy I've been out on my own. Now I think it's time I try and find a home. It's time I pack my bags and leave all this behind. They think they know who I am. So don't you try and tell me, And say that I don't have a clue. Because I'm me and only I know who I am. Where I put my feet is where I stand. I'm a superman. When you open up your mouth you better say What's on your mind cause I ain't got time to play. The words you say to me, you better try 'em on yourself. I think your true feelings are home up on the shelf. It's time I pack my bags and leave all this behind. On my two feet where I stand. So don't you try and tell me, And say that I don't have a clue. Because I'm me and only I know who I am. Where I put my feet is where I stand. I'm a superman. Now I'm on my own I remember all you gave. Memories I'll treasure and I'll always save. Maybe we could have been more honest with our selves. You were only trying to save me from the fires of hell. It's time I pack my bags and leave all this behind. On my two feet where I stand. So don't you try and tell me, And say that I don't have a clue. Because I'm me and only I know who I am. Where I put my feet is where I stand. I'll hit the ground with both feet runnin'. The dust I leave you won't see through. There's a highway that's been calling me. So don't you tell me what to do. So don't you try and tell me, And say that I don't have a clue. Because I'm me and only I know who I am. Where I put my feet is where I stand. I'm a superman.

RESIDENT ALIENS VERSE I Well looky here it's alright We've barely time to fuss or fight We're just pusillanimous entities in the overall scheme of life It might sound like an absurdity Well just hang on and you will see The point that I am driving home In this universe we're not alone CHORUS There's aliens from outer space There's aliens disguised as the human race VERSE II The audacity of you and me To think that we are all that be What with all that time and space There's no way we're the only race Universe keeps on growing Where it ends there's no way of knowing Primordial ooze formed the human race There's gotta be life in outer space CHORUS There's aliens from outer space There's aliens disguised as the human race There's aliens from outer space There's aliens disguised as the human race *** VERSE III What can I say to make you believe In extraterrestriality Really can't wait another day To break it all down and lay it out this way Little green men or shinny creatures Evil eyes and unusual features Lurking in the shadows of the human race Ready to attack and take over the place CHORUS There's aliens from outer space There's aliens disguised as the human race There's aliens from outer space There's aliens disguised as the human race

It's late at night, she lights a candle to the dark. She is waiting in vain, she doesn't know he pain, She doesn't know what it means to lose Your best friend, lovers 'til the very end. She thought they had a special thing, now she's waiting for life to begin, she's waiting for life to begin. She's waiting for life to make a change, to rearrange a frown to a smile. And hold it for a while. Come on and smile at me say hello, Come on and smile, smile, smile. Come on and smile at me say hello, Come on and smile, smile, smile. Come on and smile at me say hello, Come on and smile, smile, smile. The years have gone She listens to her favorite song An old familiar melody She doesn't know how it will be And that's as far as she can see From now on Many visions cloud her head She never thought that it would end Another reason to defend And now it's time to make amends She's waiting for life to make a change, to rearrange a frown to a smile. And hold it for a while. Come on and smile at me say hello, Come on and smile, smile, smile. Come on and smile at me say hello, Come on and smile, smile, smile. Come on and smile at me say hello, Come on and smile, smile, smile. She's moving on, in what direction she don't know. She's got a long way to go, so far away from your home. She tries to find it in her own Inner child, ride the wind and fly so wild. Until those feet touch the ground, look in the mirror there's a frown.
